MINISTRY OFF ENVIRONMENT PROPOSES TO MODERNIZE ENVIRONMENTAL PERMISSIONS

Member Bulletin: Ministry of Environment Proposes to Modernize Environmental Permissions
The Ontario is taking further steps to modernize its environmental permissions processes.

On August 31st, The Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks posted four related proposals to the Environmental and Regulatory Registries (ERO) to seek input on how to expand and improve our permit-by-rule (self-registration) framework and to consult on proposed regulations and regulatory changes that would move more activities to Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR) or exemptions under the existing framework.
