While much of the media coverage for Bill 148 has focussed on the increase of minimum wage to $15/hour, there are many other changes being proposed as part of Bill 148. While the vast majority do not impact the construction industry, there are some items in this regulatory proposal that will have direct impacts on work being performed across our industry. Attached is the Ontario Residential and Civil Construction Alliance (of which OSWCA is a member) formal submissions on this review and consultation process outlining our final recommendations to reform the regulations before they are passed. Also attached is the submission provided during the interim report phase in 2016 for reference.
